Postdoctoral Position: Department of Anesthesiology Pain Mechanisms Laboratory, Wake Forest University School of Medicine

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr Ken-ichiro Hayashida at Wake Forest University, Winston Salem, NC. The research focuses on mechanisms and consequences of the locus coeruleus activation in pain and other brain functions using various techniques such as behavior tests, immunohistochemistry, Ca imaging, and measurements of neurotransmitter release from synaptosomes and in vivo settings. Candidates who have experience with any of those techniques are favorable. Also, if you are interested in translational science to treat pain, you are highly welcome. Pain Mechanisms Laboratory is directed by Dr James Eisenach, a distinguished pain researcher, and we have a rich environment for pain research.
